Thane, 18th February (PTI) – In a recent operation, authorities have successfully dismantled a flesh trade operation in the Taloja area of Navi Mumbai. Two individuals have been apprehended, and a minor from Bangladesh has been rescued, according to a statement from a police official.
Following a tip-off, a raid was conducted on a flat within a residential community on Saturday. Sub Inspector Suresh Kurhade of Taloja police station confirmed that the operation was executed based on information provided by a decoy.
“The two suspects, identified as Samon Shaikh and Mohinoor Mandal, have been taken into custody. Additionally, a 14-year-old girl, originally from Bangladesh, has been safely rescued from the premises. A case has been filed under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act,” stated Kurhade.
The swift action taken by the authorities highlights their commitment to combatting illegal activities and protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation. Investigations are ongoing to ensure that all individuals involved in the illicit operation are brought to justice.
