RUNNELS COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A devastating single-vehicle crash has resulted in the loss of two lives in Runnels County, Texas.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene of the tragic incident on February 17 at 2:26 p.m. The location of the crash was on FM 3115, approximately 15 miles south of the town of Miles.

The fatal crash involved a Ford Explorer, with the driver heading southbound on FM 3115. Tragically, the driver lost control of the vehicle, veering off the right side of the road. In a desperate attempt to regain control, the driver steered back onto the roadway, causing the Ford Explorer to skid sideways and ultimately overturn.

Shockingly, neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. This led to both occupants being ejected from the vehicle upon impact.

Tragically, both the driver and the passenger lost their lives in the horrific crash. The driver has been identified as 27-year-old Ernest Joe Rose III from Bronte, Texas. However, the identity of the 15-year-old passenger has not yet been released to the public.
