Upon arrival, authorities discovered the pedestrian had succumbed to their injuries. The deceased has been identified as 58-year-old Brenda Ann Janiszewski Jodoin, hailing from Virginia.

The Abilene Police Department (APD) revealed that the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle travelling along Pine Street. Shockingly, the driver failed to stop after the collision, leaving the scene.
