Authorities in Harford County are currently investigating a fatal shooting that took place in Edgewood during the early hours of Saturday morning. The incident occurred shortly after midnight, prompting a response from law enforcement officers who were called to the scene at the 2200 block of Pulaski Highway following reports of gunshots being fired.
The victim, identified as 24-year-old Dajuan Kyree Simmons, was discovered inside D&M’s Tiki Bar and Crab Deck, where he was found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, deputies immediately initiated life-saving measures in an effort to stabilise Simmons until emergency medical services arrived. Despite their efforts, Simmons tragically succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.
As the investigation unfolds, detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division have taken charge of the case, working diligently to piece together the events that led to this senseless act of violence.
