Two minors have been formally charged in connection to the tragic events that unfolded during Wednesday’s shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade.

“The juveniles are currently being held in secure detention at the Juvenile Detention Center on charges related to firearms and resisting arrest,” stated the Jackson County Family Court Division. “It is anticipated that additional charges will be brought as the investigation by the Kansas City Police Department progresses.”

Authorities have refrained from disclosing the names of the suspects at this time.

Out of the 22 individuals who sustained gunshot wounds during the incident, more than half of them are below the age of 16, as confirmed by the police.

The victims’ ages ranged from eight to 47 years old.

The deceased has been identified as local DJ and mother-of-two, Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan.

A fundraiser initiated by Ms. Lopez-Galvan’s family has garnered over $190,000 in donations, with a significant contribution from Taylor Swift.

On the official GoFundMe page, Taylor Swift remains the top donor, having attended the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce, a player for the Kansas City Chiefs. Swift generously donated $50,000 twice to the family’s campaign and conveyed her heartfelt condolences.
