Accident – Death – Obituary News : A shocking case in Pueblo, Colorado has left the community reeling as a man and his girlfriend have been named as suspects in the tragic homicides of two young children. The children, who were last seen in the summer of 2018, have now been identified as Yesenia Dominguez and Jesus Dominguez Jr. Their remains were discovered in the past two months, sparking a widespread investigation into the circumstances surrounding their disappearance.

Corena Rose Minjarez, the girlfriend of the male suspect Jesus Dominguez, has already been arrested in connection with the case. However, Dominguez himself remains at large, prompting a city-wide search by law enforcement. Arrest warrants have been issued for both individuals on charges of two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of abuse of a corpse, according to reports from KRDO.

The investigation began when police uncovered the remains of a young girl inside a metal container at a storage facility on West 6th Street in Pueblo on January 20. The remains, which were encased in concrete, were later confirmed through DNA testing to be that of Yesenia Dominguez. Her brother, Jesus Dominguez Jr, was also reported missing in 2018, although no missing person report had been filed at the time. Yesenia was just 3 years old when she vanished, while Jesus was 5 years old.

In addition to the murder charges, Jesus Dominguez is facing an additional charge of theft of government benefits, further complicating the case. Pueblo police have identified both Minjarez, aged 36, and Dominguez, aged 35, as persons of interest in the ongoing investigation. Before their identification, police had received misleading information suggesting that the children were in Arizona, which turned out to be false.

On February 6, the remains of Jesus Dominguez Jr were discovered at a Pueblo scrap yard, allegedly found in a car belonging to Minjarez. Authorities revealed that the boy’s remains were found inside a suitcase within the vehicle. Following this discovery, arrest warrants were issued for Minjarez and Dominguez on charges of first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse. While Minjarez is currently in custody on a $2 million bond at the Pueblo County Detention Center, Dominguez remains a fugitive.

Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact Pueblo Police dispatch at 719-553-2502 or Detective Nicholas Lile at 719-601-7751. Alternatively, anonymous reports can be made through Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP (719-542-7867). The community is encouraged to assist law enforcement in bringing justice for Yesenia and Jesus Dominguez Jr..
