Anil Kumar : Man Beheads Wife, Walks with Head in Barabanki – India TV

In a horrifying incident, a man in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki has been arrested by Fatehpur police after beheading his wife in a fit of rage. The accused, identified as Anil Kumar from Basra village, allegedly carried his wife’s severed head on the streets while brandishing a sickle. The motive behind this gruesome act was his suspicion that his wife was having an extramarital affair, as per police reports.

The tragic incident unfolded on Friday in Basra village, where locals were shocked to witness Anil Kumar walking barefoot with his wife’s decapitated head in his hand. A video capturing the chilling scene went viral on social media, showing the accused displaying the sickle to bystanders as he made his way through the village. Prompt action by Fatehpur police led to the apprehension of Anil Kumar, who has now been taken into custody for further investigation.

Barabanki Superintendent of Police, Dinesh Kumar Singh, confirmed the arrest and stated, “The accused, Anil Kumar, has been apprehended. The body of the woman has been recovered and sent for post-mortem examination. The couple, who had been married for eight years and have two children, are now at the center of this tragic incident. Our investigation into the matter is ongoing to ascertain all the facts surrounding this heinous crime.”
