In a tragic incident, a 23-year-old student of IIT Delhi was found hanging in a hostel room on the campus of the esteemed engineering institute, leaving the entire community in a state of shock. The deceased has been identified as a talented young man from Nashik, Maharashtra, who was pursuing his MTech and was in his final year of studies.
The news broke when the IIT Delhi authorities made a PCR (Police Control Room) call from the Dronagiri Hostel, sharing the heartbreaking information about the student’s demise. The police statement, published by news agency ANI, confirmed the incident and mentioned that a thorough inspection by the crime team has been conducted.
“A PCR call was received from IIT Delhi, Dronagiri Hostel wherein it was informed that a 23-year-old boy from Nashik, Maharashtra was found hanging in a room in Dronagiri Hostel, IIT Campus. The deceased was a student in M-Tech final year. Crime team inspection has been done,” Delhi Police said.
