According to the Oregon State Police (OSP), their investigation revealed that a Toyota Prius attempted to make a left turn onto northbound Highway 101, resulting in a collision with a southbound Subaru Outback.
Regrettably, the driver of the Toyota, identified as 77-year-old Gordon Eugene Dale from Waldport, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Subaru’s driver and two passengers sustained minor injuries, as reported by OSP.
