Additionally, two separate incidents involving travel trailer fires have resulted in injuries this week, as reported by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and the Redding Fire Department.

Emergency crews promptly responded to a reported house fire on the 15000 block of Highway 299 in Shasta at 9:30 a.m. last Saturday. Tragically, the resident, later identified as Forney, was found deceased inside the burning building, as mentioned in a news release.

Another Travel Trailer Fire in North Redding

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a travel trailer fire occurred in the 17000 block of Peterson Lane, situated off Lake Boulevard in north Redding. The fire department promptly arrived at the scene, extinguishing the flames. Unfortunately, one person suffered injuries and was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment. Fire officials determined that a malfunctioning propane heater caused the blaze.

Due to the recurring fire-related incidents at the property on Peterson Lane, fire officials plan to involve Shasta County authorities in investigating potential code violations. This proactive approach aims to prevent future incidents and ensure the safety of residents in the area.
