Kannapolis Resident Among Suspects Charged with Murder in Concord Homicide Case

CONCORD — Two individuals, including a resident of Kannapolis, have been arrested and are facing charges of murder in relation to the death of Jeramie Stefaun Forrest, a 33-year-old resident of Concord.

Alfred Jerome Glascoe, a resident of Kannapolis, was arrested on February 13 and charged with murder and felony possession of marijuana. He is currently being held without bond at the Cabarrus County Jail. Osyris Jimal Burnett, a resident of Kershaw, S.C., was also taken into custody on February 13 and is awaiting extradition from South Carolina. Burnett faces charges of murder and felony possession of marijuana.

On the evening of January 28, at approximately 9:54 p.m., the Concord Police received a call for assistance from the Concord Fire Department and Cabarrus County EMS. The call reported a man lying in the road near the intersection of American Avenue NE and Madison Avenue NE. Upon arrival, officers found Concord Fire Department personnel providing life-saving aid to an individual with an apparent gunshot wound. Sadly, the victim, identified as 33-year-old Jeramie Stefaun Forrest, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
