Authorities in Memphis are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying an individual connected to the fatal shooting that occurred in October 2023. The victim’s lifeless body was discovered near Hernando, alongside the I-55 interstate.
The investigation conducted by the Memphis Police Department revealed that Magdiel Robleto was shot within the city limits of Memphis before being transported to DeSoto County. The incident took place on October 29, 2023.
Robleto’s family had reported him missing, and he was last seen leaving 3547 Macon Road in Memphis two days prior to the shooting. He was accompanied by at least two other male Hispanics.
The Memphis Police Department has released photographs of an individual believed to have been present with Robleto during his departure from Memphis and subsequent travel into Mississippi.
To aid in the identification process, Memphis authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH.
In October 2023, a young Hispanic male was discovered alongside the I-55 southbound lane, prompting an investigation by DeSoto County deputies. The southbound lanes of I-55 were temporarily closed near Slocum Road to facilitate the investigation. The victim was later identified as Magdiel Robleto.
Memphis police have since arrested 18-year-old Olman Raudales, a Honduran national, on charges of first-degree murder and tampering with or fabricating evidence in connection with the case. Raudales is currently detained in the Shelby County Jail, with bond set at $500,000.
