FREEHOLD – A comprehensive eight-month investigation into the illegal distribution of narcotics across Monmouth County has led to the arrest of 17 individuals and the seizure of drugs valued at hundreds of thousands of pounds on the streets, as announced by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago on Monday.

Key Findings of the Investigation

The investigation uncovered a network through which drugs were being transported into Monmouth County from Somerset and Passaic County by two individuals identified as 48-year-old Yusef A. Kearney from North Plainfield (Somerset) and 47-year-old Gerson G. Villeda Fajardo from Paterson (Passaic). Kearney was apprehended in Asbury Park on April 29 and was found in possession of approximately 300 grams of cocaine.

The investigation reached a climax with the execution of search warrants at two locations in Paterson last month, where authorities discovered an active fentanyl mill operated by 54-year-old Pedro Torres-Rivera and 54-year-old Manuel Dejesus-Polanco, both from Paterson. At the time of their arrests, the two men were packaging drugs while wearing surgical masks.

Further revelations from the investigation indicated that Kearney was supplying narcotics to 47-year-old Kaileem S. Davis from Tinton Falls and 37-year-old Tyking Pugh from Ocean Township. Pugh, in turn, was distributing drugs to 44-year-old Sammie Boynton from Middletown, resulting in the continued spread of drugs throughout Monmouth County.
