NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A devastating head-on collision on Murfreesboro Pike has resulted in the untimely death of a 64-year-old man. The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) reported that the fatal crash took place around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, in the 2800 block of Murfreesboro Pike.

Initial findings from the authorities suggest that the 64-year-old man was driving southbound in a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze when he veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2020 Toyota RAV4.

The driver of the Toyota informed law enforcement officers that the Cruze appeared to be moving at a significantly reduced speed prior to the impact.

Fortunately, the driver of the Toyota emerged from the collision unscathed, and both vehicles sustained minimal damage in the incident.

Meanwhile, the 64-year-old individual behind the wheel of the Cruze, identified only as a resident of Nashville, was rushed to Southern Hills Medical Center following the crash.
