Accident – Death – Obituary News : Muzaffargarh [Pakistan], June 30, 2024 (ANI): A shocking incident has come to light in Muzaffargarh, where a 10-year-old boy fell victim to a heinous crime of rape and blackmail, as the perpetrator recorded and disseminated disturbing videos on various social media platforms, as reported by Dawn.
The distressing incident took place in the Bet Mirhazar Khan area of Jatoi tehsil, prompting immediate police action and raising significant concerns regarding the safety of children and the dangers of digital exploitation.
Authorities at the Bet Mirhazar Khan police station revealed that the accused lured the young victim to a tubewell under false pretences of bathing, where the despicable act was committed and recorded on video.
These appalling videos were later used to manipulate and blackmail the innocent child, shedding light on the susceptibility of minors to online predators, according to Dawn.
Local law enforcement has taken swift action by registering a case against the perpetrator and actively pursuing his arrest. In a separate incident near the boundary of Swabi-Haripur district, two individuals have been apprehended by the police on charges of assaulting a young girl.
The victim, identified as a relative of the suspects from Haripur district, underwent a medical examination at Bacha Khan Teaching Hospital, Shahmansoor, confirming the assault, as reported by Dawn.
SHO Jihad Khan of Utla police station confirmed that an FIR has been lodged against the accused based on the victim’s statement recorded before a magistrate. The suspects, Itikhar Khan and Sirtaj Khan, are currently facing legal proceedings.
