James Hickman : “Burglary Arrest at Old Water Facility – Monroe County”

MONROE COUNTY, Ga. — In a swift turn of events, a burglary suspect has been apprehended and is now in custody in Monroe County. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible burglary at the old water treatment facility located off Boxankle Road. Deputies immediately responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, investigators discovered that the suspect had fled the area. Through diligent investigative work, the perpetrator was identified as James Hickman from Forsyth.

Following thorough investigation and surveillance, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office successfully executed an arrest warrant at Hickman’s residence on Thursday afternoon.

Charges and Custody

James Hickman has been formally charged with burglary in the 2nd degree, theft by taking, and obstruction of an officer. He is currently being held at the Monroe County Jail without the possibility of bond.
