In another heartbreaking incident, a 5-year-old child drowned while bathing in a swimming pool in the North Batagoda area of Kandana on Saturday evening. The child, a resident of Dematagoda in Colombo, was rushed to the Ja-ela hospital by his father and later transferred to the Ragama Teaching Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Kandana Police are currently conducting further investigations into this tragic incident.
