MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Brownsville Police are actively searching for a man believed to be responsible for a fatal shooting that occurred at a local motel in Brownsville, Tennessee.
On the afternoon of June 28, officers responded to a distress call at the Sunrise Inn located at 328 W. Main Street. Upon arrival, they found a victim identified as Aslam Wilson with a gunshot wound. Wilson was quickly stabilized and transported to the Regional Medical Center in Shelby County for urgent medical attention.
Tragically, Wilson succumbed to his injuries the following morning at approximately 4:30 a.m. on June 29.
After speaking with witnesses at the scene, authorities identified the suspect as Justice Clyde Morgan, a native of Alabama.
It is believed that Morgan fled the Brownsville area and may be heading towards Mobile, Alabama.
Warrants for first-degree murder have been issued for Morgan, and law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.
