In a tragic incident in New Delhi, three labourers lost their lives after a wall collapsed at a construction site in the Vasant Vihar area. The incident occurred amidst heavy rainfall, adding to the toll of rain-related fatalities in the city.
The collapse of the under-construction wall was reported to the Delhi Fire Services early on Friday morning. Despite rescue efforts, the bodies of three labourers were recovered from the rubble. Two of the deceased have been identified as Santosh Kumar Yadav (19) and Santosh (38), while the third victim remains unidentified.
Specialized equipment, including cranes, were deployed to clear the debris and extract the bodies from the site. Additionally, efforts were made to pump out water from the foundation pit to facilitate the recovery process. The bodies were subsequently transported to Safdarjung Hospital for further procedures.
A comprehensive search operation is currently underway to ensure that no other individuals are trapped under the rubble. Various teams, including the National Disaster Response Force, Delhi Disaster Management Authority, and civic agencies, are actively involved in the operation to mitigate further risks and provide assistance.

Five additional fatalities were reported on the same day, including a tragic incident at the Delhi airport where a cab driver lost his life due to a canopy collapse.
