Hyderabad: A 33-year-old man in Sarangapur of Nizamabad has filed a complaint with the police against his wife alleging that she had severely beaten him up.

According to Nizamabad 6-town police, the man identified as Mahesh, hailing from Manchipppa Thanda reportedly harassed his wife Sunitha every time he came back home in a drunken state, a report by The Times of India stated.

Earlier too, Mahesh’s family had also criticised him for his severe drinking habit and urged him to quit immediately. However, on June 23, when Mahesh returned home in an inebriated state, his wife allegedly tied his hands and legs with a rope and burnt him with a piece of wood.

Following the incident, the wife provided first aid to Mahesh, who stayed at home to recover. However, once he felt a bit better, Mahesh decided to report the assault to the police on Thursday. As a result, the authorities have registered a case against his wife, according to The Times of India.

In a separate incident, a 50-year-old man was fatally attacked by his wife in Sangareddy district after allegedly misbehaving with their daughter while drunk, as reported by NDTV. The tragic event unfolded in Sulthanpur Village when the man engaged in a heated argument with his wife upon returning home. When his daughter intervened, he acted inappropriately towards her, prompting his wife to strike him with an axe, resulting in his demise.

Based on initial investigations, the police revealed that the man had a history of alcoholism and purportedly abused his wife and daughter, as detailed by NDTV.
