A man was apprehended on Thursday morning in Bridgeport after successfully evading authorities following his escape from a halfway house. The individual in question has been identified as 27-year-old Juwaun Terry from Stratford, who managed to flee a halfway house in New Haven earlier this month.
At approximately 6:00 A.M. on Thursday morning, Terry made his escape through the second-floor rear exit of a multi-family residence located on Highland Avenue. Law enforcement officials were able to recover a discarded 9 mm Glock handgun inside the property that Terry left behind as he fled the scene.
Following his capture, Terry has been charged with seven weapons-related offences, including criminal possession of a firearm and violation of the state’s deadly weapon offender registry. It was also discovered that he had multiple active warrants pending in other jurisdictions.
