Details of the Incident
At least five individuals lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries in a devastating accident involving a Rescue 1122 ambulance and an oil tanker. The tragic collision occurred while the ambulance was en route from Attock to Rawalpindi, transporting a stroke patient to a hospital in Rawalpindi.
The decision to transfer the stroke patient to Rawalpindi was made due to the inadequate facilities at the Attock District Hospital. Unfortunately, the journey ended in tragedy for the occupants of the ambulance.
Victims of the Accident
The individuals who lost their lives in the accident have been identified as follows:
- 32-year-old rescue worker Imran
- 52-year-old Shaheen
- 70-year-old Kamna Bibi
- 44-year-old Riaz
- 40-year-old Samina Bibi
The ambulance driver, Waqar Ahmed, sustained severe injuries, while two other individuals, 60-year-old Abdul Waheed and 36-year-old Rukhsana Bibi, were also injured in the collision.
