RAWALPINDI:
Five individuals tragically lost their lives in Rawalpindi when an ambulance carrying a stroke patient from Attock collided with an oil tanker on Saturday. The incident also resulted in three people sustaining injuries.
Ambulance En Route to Rawalpindi Hospital
Reports from rescue sources indicate that the ambulance, operated by Rescue 1122, was on its way to a hospital in Rawalpindi as the Attock District Hospital lacked the necessary facilities to treat the patient’s condition. The collision took place on the Attock-Rawalpindi road, causing devastation and loss of life.
Victims identified
The deceased have been identified as 32-year-old rescue worker Imran, 52-year-old Shaheen, 70-year-old Kamna Bibi, 44-year-old Riaz, and 40-year-old Samina Bibi. The patient being transported also tragically lost their life in the accident. Additionally, ambulance driver Waqar Ahmed sustained severe injuries in the collision.
Injured Individuals
Among the injured are 60-year-old Abdul Waheed and 36-year-old Rukhsana Bibi, who were swiftly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
