Accident – Death – Obituary News : Williamsport, Pa. — A recent investigation in Williamsport led to the arrest of Ameerah Yasmine Blackwell, a 30-year-old woman accused of selling cocaine to a confidential informant on multiple occasions. The investigation, carried out by detectives with the Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit, revealed that Blackwell had facilitated the sale of cocaine in various locations throughout the city.
According to reports, the informant made four separate purchases of cocaine from Blackwell over the course of a month. The first transaction took place on December 4, 2021, at the intersection of Walnut and West Third streets. Blackwell allegedly provided the informant with more than half a gram of cocaine in exchange for $100 in marked bills.
The second deal occurred at the intersection of Grier Street and Park Avenue, where Blackwell’s associate, Kareema Moore, reportedly handed over .89 grams of cocaine to the informant for $100. Blackwell later told authorities that Moore had returned the money to her after the transaction was completed.
Blackwell herself was involved in the third sale, which took place at the corner of Wildwood Boulevard and High Street at the beginning of January. Detectives who observed the exchange reported that Blackwell sold 1.11 grams of cocaine to the informant.
The fourth and final transaction occurred on January 25, when Blackwell met the informant at the corner of Park and Fourth avenues. Prior to the meeting, Blackwell had agreed to sell cocaine over the phone, leading to her arrest by detectives.
Blackwell was interviewed at the Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office in February, where she allegedly confessed to all four deals and provided the name of her co-conspirator, Kareema Moore. Blackwell now faces four counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility.
Moore, on the other hand, has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Both women are currently awaiting further legal proceedings, with no bail or hearing dates listed at this time.
