The Lynchburg Police Department Makes Arrest in Garfield Avenue Homicide Case
The Lynchburg Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with the homicide case of Tiffany Ann Fortuna, 43, whose body was discovered on Garfield Avenue on May 26.
The victim, identified as Tiffany Ann Fortuna from Augusta County, was found deceased at the scene.
Daniel William Jackson, a 32-year-old resident of Campbell County, has been charged with multiple offences related to this tragic incident.
The charges against Jackson include second-degree murder, strangulation resulting in wounding or bodily injury, and dangerous conduct involving the concealment of a dead body.
Currently, Jackson is being held at the Lynchburg Blue Ridge Regional Jail without the option of posting bond.
Assistance in the investigation was provided by various law enforcement agencies including the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office, Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, Staunton Police Department, Waynesboro Police Department, and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.
