A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Jeypore as the body of a four-year-old girl was discovered at the Sunabeda community health centre. The girl, later identified as Supri Khila from Doraguda village in Semiliguda, was brought to the health centre by a youth who urgently requested medical attention for her before abruptly leaving.
Supri’s mother, B Soma Reddy, who works as an anganwadi worker in Kunduli, recounted leaving her daughter in the care of the youth at their home before embarking on a trip to Koraput. Tragically, Supri’s lifeless body was handed over to her grieving parents following a postmortem examination.
Speaking on the preliminary investigation, Sunabeda SDPO MB Satapathy expressed suspicions that the young girl may have fallen victim to a fatal road accident. “We are currently delving deeply into the circumstances surrounding this tragedy, and every effort is being made to identify and locate the individual who brought the girl to the hospital,” Satapathy stated.
This distressing incident has left the community in shock as local authorities work tirelessly to unravel the events leading to the untimely demise of Supri Khila. The family and friends of the young girl are grappling with profound grief and seeking answers amidst this devastating loss.
