Sage Teichert : “Fatal Plane Crash: 1 Dead Near Arco”

Tragedy struck near Craters of the Moon National Monument when a plane crash involving two agricultural aircraft resulted in the loss of one pilot’s life. The incident, which took place on Thursday, June 20, has left the aviation community in shock.

According to a preliminary report from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), air traffic control lost contact with both planes at approximately 12:54 p.m., just 2 miles east of the Craters of the Moon perimeter near Carey. The aircraft involved were crop-duster-style Air Tractors registered to Visser Air Ag Inc., a Rigby-based company.

The pilot who tragically lost his life in the crash has been identified as 43-year-old Sage Teichert from the Idaho Falls area. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
