The incident dates back to March when the Ashland Police Department was alerted by the Department of Justice about a potential threat towards Ashland High School, which was posted on Instagram by a user named Sasha Skunk. The alarming post, made on March 18, explicitly mentioned plans to carry out a shooting at the school, stating, “I’m gonna shoot up Ashland High School. I have a glock in my Ford Fusion. I’m gonna kill victim 1, victim 2, and victim 3. I’m gonna do it today.”

According to court documents, the intended victims mentioned in the post were identified as Ashland High School Principal Brian Trettin and two Ashland police officers. The Department of Justice analyst who investigated the threat provided authorities with pictures from the Instagram page, which featured a male individual identified as Herron, who also went by the name Sasha.

Following the identification of the suspect, Herron was located in his Ford Fusion, leading to his subsequent arrest and legal proceedings. The upcoming trial will seek to determine the extent of Herron’s involvement in the alleged threats and the appropriate legal consequences.
