The city of Cincinnati, Ohio was rocked by a violent incident on Thursday night as a stabbing suspect led police on a dangerous pursuit before being shot and killed in a bustling area of the city. Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge revealed that during the pursuit, the suspect brandished a gun at officers multiple times, escalating the situation further.

The chase eventually came to a halt at the intersection of 12th Street and Elm Street in the Over-the-Rhine neighbourhood, where the suspect abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot towards the Cincinnati Music Hall, still armed with a firearm. Surveillance footage from the area captured the intense moments as officers confronted the armed suspect near the Music Hall, with numerous bystanders in the vicinity.

Despite repeated commands to drop his weapon and the deployment of non-lethal foam rounds, the suspect failed to comply, prompting officers to use lethal force. Theetge confirmed that four officers discharged their firearms, ultimately resulting in the fatal shooting of the suspect, identified as Juan Mack, aged 48.
