Accident – Death – Obituary News :

United Airlines has come under fire after a woman, her 16-month-old son, and her mother were reportedly denied boarding on a flight due to an incident involving a misgendered flight attendant. The incident, which took place at San Francisco International Airport, has sparked outrage on social media, with the woman, identified as Jenna Longoria of Texas, sharing her story in a series of videos posted on Instagram and X.

According to Longoria, the ordeal began when she and her family were attempting to board a United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Austin. In one of the videos, Longoria explains that she mistakenly used the wrong pronouns while speaking to a flight attendant, which resulted in a disagreement between the flight crew and the family.

The situation escalated when Longoria was accused of a \”hate crime\” by United staff and was informed that she and her family might be banned from flying with the airline. Despite apologizing and explaining that she was not well-versed in pronouns, Longoria claims that she was escorted away from the boarding area by a United Airport Operations supervisor.

When contacted for a response, United Airlines neither confirmed nor denied the allegations made by Longoria. Instead, the airline stated that a party of three was not allowed to board due to an issue related to carry-on items, and that the matter was eventually resolved, allowing the customers to take a later flight.

Longoria, however, found the explanation to be confusing, as she asserts that she had the same amount of carry-on items on her outbound flight to San Francisco as she did on her return flight. She described the incident as \”uneventful\” and expressed frustration over the treatment she received from United staff.

According to Longoria, the situation worsened when a United staffer refused to allow her mother to board with her, leaving Longoria to handle her son and the heavy car seat and stroller on her own. When she sought assistance from another flight attendant, she claims that she was reprimanded for using the wrong pronouns.

Despite the challenges faced during the boarding process, Longoria was eventually able to secure another flight and make it home after several hours at the airport. Reflecting on the incident, Longoria emphasized the importance of focusing on her son and expressed regret over the miscommunication that led to the disruption.

As the story continues to gain attention online, United Airlines has yet to provide further clarification on the incident. The airline’s handling of the situation has sparked debate on social media, with many expressing support for Longoria and calling for greater sensitivity and understanding in interactions with passengers.
