The recent tragic two-vehicle collision that took place on June 9, 2024, on US Hwy. 51 has left the community in mourning. The identities of the drivers involved in the accident have now been disclosed. The driver of the SUV, a 20-year-old individual named Alexia C. Zuk from Crandon, was airlifted to Wausau Aspirus Hospital via Aspirus Medivac Helicopter following the crash. Fortunately, after receiving medical attention, Zuk was discharged from the hospital.
Tragically, the other driver involved in the collision, a 51-year-old man from Rhinelander, has been identified as George Rouman. The Lincoln County Coroner, Valerie Caylor, declared Rouman deceased at the scene of the accident.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the factors that led to this devastating incident. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of both individuals involved in this tragedy as they navigate this difficult time.
