Accident – Death – Obituary News : Days after a 26-year-old man was fatally shot inside a Burger King outlet in West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden, the Delhi Police Special Cell has successfully apprehended one of the accused individuals responsible for bringing the two shooters to the scene.
The tragic incident took place on June 18 at 9:30 pm, when three individuals arrived at the outlet on Najafgarh Road, Rajouri Garden on a motorcycle. One of the individuals stayed outside with the bike to serve as a lookout and provide backup armed with a weapon, while the other two entered the establishment and unleashed a barrage of 39 rounds at the victim, Aman Joon, resulting in his untimely demise, as reported by a police official.
Gangster Himanshu Bhau claimed responsibility for the heinous act on an Instagram post, citing it as retribution for the killing of ‘Shakti Dada’, a close associate, according to police sources.
Following the incident, a dedicated team from the Special Cell’s Northern region was assembled, identifying the three culprits as Ashish, Vikas, and Bijender. A series of raids were conducted at suspected hideouts in Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, and Punjab in pursuit of their capture. Additional CP (Special Cell) Pramod Khushwaha stated, “On multiple occasions, the perpetrators narrowly evaded arrest, but our teams persistently monitored their movements through various sources and technical surveillance.”
After an intensive 10-day operation, Bijender, aged 27, was eventually apprehended on June 28 in Rohini, as confirmed by the authorities. The suspect had received education up to Class IX from a government school and had prior involvement in five cases related to murder, attempted murder, and violations of the Arms Act.
Police reports indicate that Bijender confessed to the premeditated nature of Aman’s murder, orchestrated under Bhau’s directives. On the day of the tragic event, in compliance with the gang member’s instructions, Bijender equipped himself with a pistol and stationed himself near a metro pillar at Rajouri Garden on a motorcycle. His accomplices, Ashish and Vikas, also arrived at the designated location before proceeding to Burger King as planned.
“Bijender was tasked with maintaining vigilance on the bike, keeping the engine running, and possessing a backup weapon, while Ashish and Vikas executed the fatal act inside the outlet. Following the execution, the trio swiftly fled the scene on the motorcycle,” detailed the police.
The successful arrest of Bijender underscores the diligent efforts of law enforcement in bringing perpetrators of violent crimes to justice. The ongoing investigation aims to shed light on the motives behind the tragic incident and hold all responsible parties accountable for their actions..
