Accident – Death – Obituary News :
In a shocking case in Toba Tek Singh, Gojra Additional District and Sessions Judge Abbas Rasool Warraich has sentenced a man to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs500,000 for kidnapping and raping a 10-year-old girl. The convict, Ghulam Dastgir of Chak 342-JB, Nawan Lahore, committed this heinous crime on February 5, 2021.
The court proceedings revealed that Dastgir abducted the minor girl and subjected her to a horrifying ordeal. He was brought to court from the district jail, where Judge Warraich handed down the severe punishment. Additionally, Dastgir was ordered to pay compensation to the victim’s family.
Tragic Shooting Incident Leaves Woman Dead
In a tragic incident at Chak 358-GB Ganju, a young man shot dead a woman and injured her husband and brother-in-law over a monetary dispute. The complainant, Manzoor Ahmad, stated in his First Information Report (FIR) that the perpetrator, Muhammad Hassan, visited their home demanding a loan of Rs100,000. When Ahmad refused, Hassan resorted to violence, resulting in the death of Ahmad’s wife, Nazia Bibi, and injuries to Ahmad and his brother.
Hassan also turned the gun on himself, causing further chaos. The wounded individuals were rushed to the district headquarters hospital for medical treatment.
Tragic Suicide Over Marriage Rejection
At village Wassupwala near Athara Hazari, Jhang, a young man named Shazil Baloch took his own life after his parents refused to arrange his marriage to a girl of his choice. Baloch, a motorcycle mechanic, was unable to cope with the rejection and resorted to ending his life with a gun in front of his family.
Fatal Car Accident Claims Driver’s Life
In a tragic incident on the Sahianwala interchange road in Chak Jhumra tehsil of Faisalabad, a car driver named Asjeel Ahmad lost his life after his speeding vehicle collided with a road divider. Ahmad, aged 35, was en route to the motorway from Faisalabad when the fatal accident occurred.
Meanwhile, in Kamalia, another heartbreaking incident took place as a pizza delivery boy named Muhammad Husnain (18) lost his life in a collision between his motorcycle and a tractor-trolley on Kamalia-Pirmahal Road near Chak 717 GB.
Initiative to Provide Free Medical Tests for Industrial Workers
Industrial workers in Faisalabad will soon have access to free blood and urine tests as a new laboratory is set to be established within six months. Punjab Labour Welfare and Human Resource Department Secretary, Muhammad Naeem Ghous, announced this initiative during his visit to Faisalabad.
During his visit to Masood Textile Mills and Interloop Industries Factory, Secretary Ghous interacted with workers to understand their concerns. He also inspected the Social Security Hospital, accompanied by Labour Welfare Department Director General Syeda Kalshoom Hayee and Director West Division Ghulam Shabbir Kalyar.
These developments aim to improve the welfare and healthcare provisions for industrial workers in the region.
