Authorities in Marshalltown have apprehended a 15-year-old suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on June 1st. The individual, whose identity has not been disclosed by the police, has been charged with accessory after the fact in relation to the death of 41-year-old Ramon Feliciano Nieves.
Police Chief Mike Tupper confirmed the arrest, noting that the teenager played a significant role in the aftermath of the incident. However, the main suspect in the murder case, 18-year-old Victor Delgadillo, remains at large.
Chief Tupper reassured the public that there is no imminent threat to the community, emphasising that the violence was targeted and the individuals involved were known to each other. He urged anyone harbouring or assisting Delgadillo to come forward, warning that they will face serious consequences.
The police chief affirmed that apprehending Delgadillo is their top priority and they are actively pursuing leads to locate him. The Marshall County Crime Stoppers has increased the reward to £5,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the wanted suspect.
Despite ongoing efforts to capture Delgadillo, Chief Tupper remains confident that with the support of the community, law enforcement will succeed in bringing the suspect to justice.
