Two brave police officers in Mumbai saved a 59-year-old woman from drowning in the Arabian Sea during high tide on Thursday afternoon. The heroic rescue took place near the Sundar Mahal junction on the seafront of Marine Drive.

According to reports, an onlooker spotted the woman slipping into the sea while sitting on the promenade and immediately alerted the police. Officers Kiran Thackeray and Amol Dahiphale, who are stationed at the Marine Drive Police Station, responded swiftly to the emergency call.

Without hesitation, Thackeray and Dahiphale jumped into the rough waters of the Arabian Sea to rescue the drowning woman, identified as Swati Kanani from Matunga. Despite the dangerous conditions caused by the high tide, the two officers managed to pull Kanani to safety.

The woman was later taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, she remained conscious and was reported to be out of danger following the incident.
