Accident – Death – Obituary News : Steward Allen Callahan-Fletcher has been released from jail following his initial arrest, however, new arrest warrants have been issued for his apprehension on June 25. The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in locating Callahan-Fletcher, who is facing charges of statutory rape of a child.
The authorities were prompted to investigate after receiving a report concerning the welfare of a young girl at a residence outside Salisbury on May 18. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 12-year-old girl and an 18-year-old male, later identified as Steward Allen Callahan-Fletcher, at the premises. Evidence uncovered at the scene indicated possible sexual involvement between the two individuals, leading to a more thorough inquiry.
Subsequently, Callahan-Fletcher was arrested on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor for providing contraband to the child. Following a forensic interview with the minor and the collection of additional evidence, investigators believe that sexual activities occurred between Callahan-Fletcher and the child on the day of the incident and the day prior to law enforcement’s intervention.
Although Callahan-Fletcher was initially released from custody after his first arrest, further arrest warrants were issued on June 25. These warrants include charges of two counts of first-degree statutory rape and one count of indecent liberties with a child. Authorities are now actively searching for Callahan-Fletcher to ensure his apprehension.
