A devastating accident occurred in Kollam on Thursday morning, resulting in the untimely death of a 37-year-old man named Shibu. The fatal collision occurred on the Anchal-Ayur road when Shibu’s tempo vehicle collided with a KSRTC bus, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Shibu, a resident of Anchal, was behind the wheel of the tempo at the time of the accident. Two other passengers, identified as Ambili and Binu Raj, were also in the vehicle. Tragically, despite being rushed to a nearby private hospital, Shibu succumbed to his injuries. Ambili was transferred to the Government Medical College in Thiruvananthapuram for further treatment, while Binu Raj is currently receiving medical attention at a private hospital in Anchal.
The collision, which occurred when the KSRTC superfast bus travelling towards Thiruvananthapuram collided with Shibu’s tempo en route to Kulathupuzha from Ayur, caused significant damage. The impact of the crash caused the tempo to collide with an electric post, while the KSRTC bus veered off course and struck a coconut tree.
