Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Three individuals have been taken into custody and charged in connection with the drilling of holes into fuel tanks of vehicles in Guam, resulting in the theft of gasoline. Sabino Ayuyu, 25, Jeremiah Unchangco, 20, and Christopher Unchangco, 51, are facing legal action in the Superior Court of Guam for their alleged involvement in multiple incidents of stealing gas from cars.

First Arrest: Sabino Ayuyu

The first arrest was made after the Guam Police Department responded to a report of two individuals tampering with a surveillance system at a residence in Dededo. Upon arrival, officers noticed that the cameras were positioned in a manner inconsistent with regular surveillance. The homeowner, who was present during the incident, used his cellphone to record the suspects, who were wearing black and moving items from a nearby shipping container.

Following a trail into the jungle, an officer discovered Ayuyu shirtless near a shipping container. Despite initial resistance, Ayuyu was apprehended and found in possession of a red gas container. Additional items, including a blower, bushcutter, chainsaw, and bags, were also located in the vicinity.

Ayuyu admitted to his involvement in the theft, stating that Christopher Unchangco was his partner in the criminal activity. Both Ayuyu and Christopher Unchangco were charged with theft of property, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass.

Second Arrest: Christopher Unchangco

Following Ayuyu’s confession, police located Christopher Unchangco’s residence, where they found a vehicle matching the description of a suspect vehicle associated with multiple similar cases of fuel theft. Inside the residence, Jeremiah Unchangco, Christopher’s son, was found asleep in the driver’s seat of the car.

Christopher Unchangco confessed to participating in the crimes of drilling gas tanks and stealing fuel, along with Ayuyu and Jeremiah Unchangco. The trio were reported to have targeted vehicles in various areas around Dededo, Yigo, and Tamuning.

Jeremiah Unchangco admitted to assisting his father and Ayuyu in drilling vehicles for gas theft, as well as stealing roosters from residences. He was charged with criminal mischief and theft of property.

Investigation Ongoing

The Guam Police Department announced the arrests in a press release and confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with more complaints of similar nature being looked into. The authorities are working to bring all those involved in the fuel theft scheme to justice.
