The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 4:10 a.m. on June 29, 2023, in the 1600 block of 45th Street. Upon arrival, patrol officers discovered 35-year-old Quynn Robinson Sr. inside a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following a thorough investigation, authorities were able to identify a suspect in the case. 22-year-old Briyhon Johnson was named as the individual believed to be responsible for Robinson’s untimely death. On Thursday, Johnson was taken into custody and charged with murder.
It was revealed that Johnson had been held at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility since January on various charges, as indicated by JSO’s inmate records.
