In the town of Washington, Wisconsin, a tragic motorcycle accident has claimed the life of a 50-year-old man from Pulaski. The incident, which occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of County Road E and Lodge Road, is believed to have been caused by a combination of speed and alcohol.
Authorities were alerted to the crash when a passerby discovered the motorcycle in a ditch with the rider lying unresponsive in a nearby field. Despite attempts to resuscitate him, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The victim, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, was the sole occupant of the motorcycle. According to initial reports, he was travelling westbound on County Road E and failed to negotiate a curve near Lodge Road. This resulted in the motorcycle veering off the road, causing the rider to lose control and crash multiple times.
As investigations into the incident continue, authorities are urging all motorcyclists to adhere to safety regulations, including wearing helmets and abstaining from alcohol consumption while operating vehicles.
