Authorities have apprehended a suspect in relation to a drive-by shooting that took place in Vacaville during the early hours of Wednesday.
The individual taken into custody has been identified as 27-year-old Omar Molinamendoza, a resident of Vallejo. He has been charged with several offences including shooting into an inhabited dwelling, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
No injuries were reported from the incident, and law enforcement personnel were able to locate the vehicle believed to have been involved in the shooting. It is suspected that the owner of the vehicle had ties to at least one person residing in the targeted home.
Additionally, Molinamendoza’s vehicle was impounded for investigative purposes at the time of his arrest.
The investigation into this incident is currently ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the case.
