Miss A : “Pattaya Woman Assaulted, Forced into Prostitution, Police Pursue Suspects”

PATTAYA, Thailand – The Pattaya community was left in shock and outrage after a horrifying video surfaced on social media, showing a 22-year-old woman, referred to as Miss A, being brutally assaulted by a group led by a transgender woman outside a dormitory in South Pattaya on June 22. The incident, captured on CCTV and by residents, has prompted a police investigation.

Miss A bravely came forward and shared her harrowing experience at the Pattaya City Police Station on June 26. She identified five individuals involved in the assault, with 21-year-old Phuwanai, also known as “Kai” or “Mechi,” being singled out as the main perpetrator. Law enforcement officials are now preparing to obtain an arrest warrant against Phuwanai based on the evidence gathered.

The victim also disclosed that the assailants had coerced her into prostitution in order to settle a debt that she had guaranteed. This revelation has added a disturbing layer to the case, shedding light on the exploitation and abuse that vulnerable individuals can face in society.
