A North Courtland Police officer was taken into custody on Wednesday morning in Lawrence County, Alabama, on charges of domestic violence, according to officials.
The officer, identified as 37-year-old Mark Whalen, has been arrested on a charge of Domestic Violence – 3rd Degree – Harassment, as confirmed by Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver.
Moulton Police Department Captain Russell Graham stated that Whalen is currently being held on a bond of £1,000.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is handling the case, and further details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
