Nationwide — A shocking incident occurred in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, where a 76-year-old woman was brutally attacked by a fellow resident in her building. Marco Tulio Russi, a 43-year-old man, allegedly broke into her apartment while naked, resulting in a violent confrontation that left the elderly woman severely injured.

Reports suggest that Russi, who resides in the same building as the victim, knocked on the woman’s door in the nude. Not recognizing him, the elderly woman opened the door, and Russi forcefully entered the apartment.

The victim’s sister recounted the terrifying ordeal to Local 10 News, stating, “When she opened the door, it looked like what she thought was a woman. And when she opened the door, he walked into the apartment and she said ‘Hey, what are you doing? Get out of here!'”

According to the victim’s sister, Russi viciously attacked the elderly woman, causing severe injuries. She described the assault, saying, “She started to scream, and he grabbed her by the hair and hit her head on the floor. Her eyes are black and blue, her face is black and blue. She received two stitches in her head. He really roughed her up terribly.”

Following the assault, Russi fled the scene and attempted to enter other apartments from a balcony while still unclothed.

The victim’s sister expressed gratitude that her sister survived the traumatic event, emphasizing the woman’s age of 76 and the severity of the attack.

Legal Ramifications and Suspected Influence

Russi, identified as an Ecuadorian national in the arrest report, faces multiple charges, including burglary with assault or battery, indecent exposure, and resisting an officer with violence. Authorities suspect that Russi may have been under the influence of drugs during the incident.

Currently, Russi is being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
