MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man was apprehended by officers from the Mobile Police Department after he led them on a foot chase, as per an official MPD press release.
The incident took place at the Oak Ridge Apartments parking lot, where officers pulled over a vehicle around 2:10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Details of the Incident
Upon being stopped, the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Landon Otez Robinson, exited the vehicle and fled on foot, with officers in pursuit. Despite the attempt to evade capture, law enforcement managed to apprehend Robinson and transport him to Metro Jail.
During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a stolen handgun, leading to additional charges against Robinson.
Charges and Legal Actions
Robinson now faces charges that include resisting arrest, attempting to elude law enforcement, and possession of second-degree stolen property.
