Following Proulx’s tragic demise, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers ordered that U.S. and state flags be flown at half-staff until sunset Thursday in honour of the deceased staff member.

DOC Secretary Jared Hoy also paid tribute to Proulx, acknowledging his professional commitment and sacrifice in the line of duty.

Call for Investigation
State Rep. Michael Schraa, chair of the Assembly’s corrections committee, announced plans to conduct an informational hearing on the conditions within the DOC following Proulx’s tragic death.
