A 30-year-old man from Sherrelwood, identified as Connor Allen Paige, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder following the fatal stabbing of his father at their home in the 7900 block of Durango Street. Details of the Crime
According to an arrest affidavit from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Connor Paige admitted to smoking methamphetamine before the violent altercation that resulted in the death of his father, Robert Allen Paige, aged 64. The affidavit states that Connor Paige beat and stabbed his father before stealing his work van and fleeing to Elbert County.
When Adams County deputies arrived at the Paige residence in response to a 911 call reporting the stabbing, they found Robert Paige in his bedroom with severe injuries, including facial trauma and a neck wound. Despite efforts to save him, Robert Paige was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further investigation revealed a hunting-style knife with a 5-inch blade next to the body, indicating the weapon used in the attack. Connor Paige was apprehended in Elbert County after authorities tracked the stolen van using GPS technology.

In a chilling confession to police, Connor Paige admitted to killing his father and cited hearing voices and a diagnosis of schizophrenia as contributing factors to his actions.
