Accident – Death – Obituary News :
On June 16, CAL FIRE responded to two roadside vegetation fires near Stirling City, Butte County. Following an investigation, the fires were determined to be the result of arson. Brock Herritt, a 48-year-old individual, has been charged with arson of forest land in connection to these fires. Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey confirmed that Herritt pleaded not guilty to the charges.
According to CAL FIRE officials, Herritt was identified as the prime suspect and was subsequently arrested on June 17. He was found at the scene of the fire and taken into custody. Currently, Herritt is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on July 10, as stated by Ramsey.
