COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has made public the body camera and security camera footage from a shooting incident that took place on June 9 in Downtown Colorado Springs.
According to police reports, officers approached a suspect, identified as Amorion Germany, who was seen carrying a firearm and attempted to engage with him. Germany, however, fled northbound on South Nevada upon realizing law enforcement’s presence.
Despite officers’ commands for Germany to drop the weapon, he continued to run, prompting the police to fire shots that ultimately struck him.
The CSPD has released the full video of the incident, which can be viewed below. Viewers are advised that the video contains graphic content including blood, violence, and offensive language.

Following the shooting, officers provided medical assistance to Germany before taking him into custody.
