Following last week’s tragic shooting on Bagnall Road in Norfolk, the Norfolk Police Department has confirmed that a second man has tragically lost his life as a result of the incident.
Details of the Incident
On June 20, officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 900 block of Bagnall Road at around 4:45 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a 23-year-old man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in the 800 block of Bagnall Road. He was promptly taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Shortly after, two more men were found with life-threatening gunshot wounds in the 700 block of Chapel Street. Tragically, one of the victims, 19-year-old Javid K. Williams from Norfolk, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, identified as 29-year-old Maurice Stowe, passed away in hospital on Tuesday due to the severity of his injuries.

The Norfolk Police Department has stated that the investigation into this incident is ongoing and is being treated as a homicide case. They are urging anyone with information that could assist the detectives to come forward.
